Sydney Schools Shootout kicks off on Thursday

Sydney Kings - Nina Bonnema

The Sydney Schools Shootout 2013 for boys will kick off this Thursday at Knox Grammar School in Wahroonga. Games will be played all Thursday and Friday from 9am until 7pm with the Sydney Kings recognised as proud sponsors of the event.

Who’s in?
More than 300 basketball players from all over Sydney will come together in the sixth edition of the Shootout tournament. In total, 20 top schools in Sydney are providing 33 male basketball teams.

Multiple Sydney Kings players will be present at the tournament. Giving school kids a unique chance to get up close and personal with their favourite player!

Development and Premier Division

The development division will kick off with 18 teams competing against each other. The top two will play the Sydney School Shootout Development Division Final, Friday 4pm for the Sydney Kings Trophy.

The other 15 teams play in the Premier Division.  Winners of the semi-finals will play the Grand Final at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on November 15 at 6pm, as pre-game entertainment for the Sydney Kings home game against the Townsville Crocodiles. The winner of the premier division will take home the Ken Cole Trophy.

The Sydney Kings are proud to be involved in the Sydney School Shoot Out again this year. Supporting grassroots basketball in Sydney and is a major aspect of the Sydney Kings community program. The winners of the development division final will receive the special Sydney Kings trophy. The top two teams from the Premier Division will compete for the Ken Cole Trophy at the Sydney Entertainment Centre prior to the Sydney Kings home game against the Townsville Crocodiles!
